Analysis of Neo Capriccio
Palace Life

Killian Eng's painting feature vibrant colors and complexity. Dimensionality was not created from color but instead, from black outlines ,dots and hatches that functions as an almost like hidden texture that creates dimensionality for objects in the painting that only has one flat color per surface.

Texture and Normal maps

Traditional to Digital, we experimented with using hand drawn patterns that are inspired by Kilian Eng as a 3D texture for small details within the model.

Emmersive Capriccio

First model

Our first model and attempt to portray our immersive capriccio, though we feel that the dimensionality and atmosphere is not the same as what we were aiming for (flat painting like textures).

Final Model

Our final model's Matt finish is created from our custom textures that has maximum roughness in order to emphasis the flatness of traditional paintings. Black outlines are scripted to envelop every object and lines to make the whole model even more 2D or painting like.
