As nowadays university students, professors and other people pass through this
area a lot because it is close to classrooms, parking lot, canteen or even cafe and market.
We interpret this space as a public open space where people can socialise, meet-up or
relax and also something that people can have recreation activities outside. So why not
designing it as an existing outdoor space?
We want to propose the idea of creating the multifunctional outdoor space where people can relax and socialise with each other by bringing out the connection of the site - Chula’s (pink colour and trees or greenery) and faculty of art’s identity (language) making the space stand out - as well as making it more functional and rememberable such as making it as a new landmark, or for taking photos and promoting education etc. Also, we want to use its environment and weather for designing such as using the natural sunlight and trees to create a new pattern as a shadow.
The renovation space was separated into 4 different functions which are waiting area, eating area/ studying area, relaxing area (socialising) and amphitheatre
