Exhibition of 4 emotions
Starting with my self portrait, I often see myself as a normal person with a normal life, each day experiencing a wide variety of emotions that depend on the situations life puts me in. Life isn’t stable, so no one can be happy or sad all the time. The problems and events that we face and how these make us feel are often shown through our facial expressions. Thus, I decided to place my face on a six-sided cube, with each part of my face (eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks) represented on each face. Each cube I created represents one emotion, of which there are four total: happiness, wonder, sadness, and excitement. These four cubes can be stacked together to be compose my face and represent how my emotions change throughout the day.
As for the design, I decided to make it this way so that people can experiment with internal emotions. If you look only on the outside, you will not know the true emotion of each cube; only by experiencing the inside of each room (light, material, space, etc.) can you understand fully.
