Project Introduction
The aim of the work shop is to design and develop a project through the experiment of physical models to under and the real condition of the space and weighting text to explain and clear out our though. The project focuses on improved a space on chula campus.
Chula Pool ( Bor Urp )
Chula pool is one of the most popular spot in Chula resident as it well known from chula famous event which hold in this particular spot. Since, the space are able to contain large amount of people with perfect location in front of chula main entrance. However, the area have unclear function or any type of organization therefore the user does not have any connection with natural source or water in the case.
Study Model
Working on model as an experimentation of a circular ring angel in order to merge the environment avoid blocking the view by distort the landscape and playing with layer of the circular form. Creating 2 mains space which are public space and private space, to create a connection between public space and Chula residence by using pathway as a connection. On the other hand, private space also hiding in the second layer to serve a private condition.
Final Model
Following the same concept, the circle have distort into oval shape as the form fit into landscape condition therefore private space can have more space in order to serve the user. Folding pool act as a connection between people and water source with auditorium underneath the pool to create a special light condition for the user to get the feeling of being under water. Connection between the user and the design is the pathway in the center where it sink underneath the water to make people bend in with the water surrounding them.
