Fatigue; weakening of a material caused by repeatedly applied loads.
Can we exhaust all the possibilities a material or an object can perform?
We work as an experimentation & documentation to create a video installation with all the options
obtained as a library of possibilities together with an atlas of actions to create a publication (book) obtained
during the process (based on Ikea graphics) and coded through hashtags definitions.
The workshop will focus on an intense relationship with objects, materials, and the importance of learning
how to produce precise documentation as well as the graphic representation of gestures, responses or
behaviors that materials can create.
Different material, creates different interactions. As we explore, we gain many experience and new knowledges from the exploration by testing the materials. In our group we started our topic with spreading, dropping and deformation.
We studied the movement of the fabric by using our hand. As, we move the fabric, different layers created different movements. As for spreading, we discover by spraying colorful spray together and also by spreading sands which made us more interested in how to spread sands or blow them as it can shape invisible materials and turn them to be more visible. Dropping, the gravity creates the shape of the liquid that touch the other materials and creates a satisfying image as the liquid slowly drops down following the gravity.
In conclusion, as every test we did made, discover different of action and the interesting properties of materials.
