Concepts for Faculty of Architecture Alley
We experiment the possibility of the human sensations and experience of the intervention of architecture, through the process of the model making. The process can opened up many possibility and allows us to test the prototype physically and realized what need to be improve in the real world scenario. model making can also allows different alternatives and open up many potentials for the existing site.
The Vacant Alley
The site located in the narrow alley besides the Faculty of Architecture and Chulalongkorn Museum. It use to be hang out spot for student, car park and garbage dump. Its also acts as an informal secondary entrance for the student who doesn't have automatic entrance card to access in main entrance, which makes this space be known as "hidden entrance" among the architecture students.

Chapter I : Flying Canopy
The first prototype we tried to divided the space in the alley into multiple multi-function square spaces and connects with main and secondary circulation. The space can be occupied as stalls and shops during the festival and as a leisure space during the normal event, We developed the sun shading device canopy, which allows the protection and diffusion of lights in the alley space, creating the different sensation of the lights that come in.
Chapter II : Candy Slope
After the trial and errors that learned from the previous prototype, we tried to starts playing with the transformation of land and function. What if we merge the car park with the leisure? could it be possible? the second alternative aims to improve the alley environment, played with the natural elements such as grass and trees and finished with circular shading device which allows people to hang-out, In the contrary the bottom part can be very efficient car park and drop-off area.
Chapter III : Rolling Pod
The final alternative, we shift from the "architecture" to the "device" to maximize the possibility and cost. The device that can roll into individual pods for individual student, as a private leisure space, integrated with the partial greenery, erasing the quality of the concrete surface look. The structure can changes overtimes due to the behavior. We done a test in 1:1 scale of how the human can occupy the space and test the experience inside the chamber.
