Connection between Canal, Weir and Land
- Sala Design Proposal -

From the site visit, as we walked through the area we realised that there are less active population
comparing to other nearby village. We then decided to place our sala next to the
weir in order to draw more traffic which enhance environmental awareness
that they should taking care of the existing natural resources such as the weir for everybody in this village.
Within our selected are, there are many advantages from natural
resources such as ventilation, shade from surrounding trees and acoustic sound from waterfall.
Our sala(s) proposal end up locating nearby the weir which is quite far from the
main road to avoid noise pollution and air pollution from car.
- Design Proposal of a Sala -
The aim of this workshop is to incorporated the existing with a design of a
sala by improved quality of the space in a way that would not harm and effect the existing.
Learn how to communicate and compromise with the locals, explain the condition and
represent the proposal to in which will benefit the most to the locals.

The aim of this workshop is to resign the communal space for the community.
However, with our given site, government already providethe space and built this community space as shown in the existing images.
Each space has been given program and specific purposes to help benefit the most to the community.
With all the information and the existing, our group decided not to build a new community space
but use this opportunity to redesign the existing to benefit and serve its purpose more efficiency.
